Dacia B. Tobias

Dacia B. Tobias, 91 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away November 15, 2020 at Silver Oaks Health Care in Columbus, Indiana. She was born March 18, 1929 in Edinburgh. She was the daughter of Harry and Edell (Zigler) Thompson. She married Bill Tobias on May 21, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2007.

She is survived by her sons, Andy (Marsha) Tobias of Flat Rock, Indiana, David (Sharon) Tobias of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Sam (Rita) Tobias of Columbus, Indiana, daughters, Lecia (Bill) Clark of Flat Rock, Indiana and Molly (Aaron) Claycamp of Seymour, Indiana, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and sister, Wilma Shupperd of Gas City, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Deborah Edell Tobias, and sisters, Donnis Jones and Julia Thompson..

Dacia graduated from Edinburgh High School in 1947. She was a member of Taylorsville United Methodist Church. She was a Helping Hands 4-H leader for 31 years. She formerly was employed at Danner's in Edinburgh and Columbus and Zac Candy and Confections at Horizon Outlet Mall in Edinburgh. Dacia enjoyed sewing and baking.

A private family service will be conducted by Reverend Lonny Goen on Friday at Taylorsville United Methodist Church in Taylorsville, Indiana. Public calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Memorial contributions may be given to the church.
