Dennis Day Obituary
Born April 7, 1951, in Columbus, he was the son of the late Albert Wayne & Vernie Louise (Phillips) Day. He married Maria Smith; she preceded him in death in 1987.
Dennis was a 1969 graduate of Columbus North High School and worked the last five years for Pam Trucking and had previously worked 20 years as an installer-glazer for Tom Smith Glass in Columbus. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Columbus. Dennis enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He loved nature and had a record deer in the late 90's.
Survivors include his son, Nathan (Susanne Biehle) Day of Greencastle; his daughter, Ashley Day of Milan; brothers, Larry Day of Newaygo, Michigan and Rockne (Gail) Day of Columbus; sister, Jayne (Jerry) Shepherd of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Kieran Day and Annabel Day, both of Greencastle, Ani (Elijah Lorance) Day-Velazquez and Inara Law, both of North Vernon; and great-grandchild, Arabella Elaine Day-Lorance of North Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with his and his family's wishes, cremation is planned with no service to be held at this time. Arrangements were in care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Dennis through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
