Ray Donica Obituary

Ray E. Donica III, 64, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at his residence. He was born on July 16, 1960, in Columbus, Indiana, to Ray E. Donica Jr. and Sandra JoAnn Greenwell Mace.

Ray married Diana Sue Mahoney on August 25, 2007, and she survives him. He was employed at Dorel for several years before his retirement and was an active member of the Brownstown First Baptist Church.

A devoted sports enthusiast, Ray enjoyed watching NASCAR, but was an especially dedicated fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ray is survived by his wife, Sue Donica; his step-children, Kev\in (Tara) Huddleston & Alicia (Doug) Hughes; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha (Tim) Reinbold; step-sister, Karen (Tom) Mace-Habersham; nephews, Bradley and Albert Luke; sisters in law, Belinda (Calvin) Fields and Laurie (Kevin) Sparks; and brothers in law, Dennis (Terri) Mahoney and Doug (Laura) Mahoney. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Ray will be held Saturday, November 2 at 1 pm at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastoe Darrin Wan officiating. Burial will follow at Mahoney Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky. Friends may gather for visitation from 11 am until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to cover funeral costs.
