James Boehme Obituary

James L. Boehme
James L. Boehme passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, June 22, 2025, with his beloved wife, AnneMarie, by his side. He was 77. Jim had been courageously battling an illness since January, and was at his winter home on Little Hickory Island, Florida, when he entered eternal peace at Gulf Coast Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers.
Jim and AnneMarie shared more than 33 years of marriage, building a life together in Ridgefield, Connecticut, where they made their home alongside their cherished cats, ReGia and Luca. Their Ridgefield home, lovingly built over three decades ago, was a reflection of Jim's enduring commitment to family and community.
A respected leader in the security and protection industry, Jim dedicated over 40 years to advancing security solutions for banks and major corporations. His career included senior executive roles at Holmes Protection Group Inc., National Guardian Corp., and Wells Fargo Alarm Services. Known for his integrity and vision, Jim oversaw national and international sales teams, managing more than 200 branch sales personnel across 90 facilities throughout the U.S. and other nations worldwide.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jim was a vibrant and beloved member of the Ridgefield community. He was actively involved with Founders Hall, Ridgefield Parks and Recreation, and the Ridgefield Pickleball Club. His passion for pickleball and tireless advocacy for the sport helped grow and strengthen the local community. Whether mentoring new players or championing improvements to local courts, Jim's enthusiasm and generosity left a lasting legacy. He was a true friend, and a source of joy to many.
Jim will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the people and places he loved. He was an avid photographer, particularly focused on sunsets, birds, floral and wildlife. Jim had a sharp wit and deep sense of humor. Industry professionals remember him like this: "I can't think of a better person who knew how people ticked than Jim. I feel blessed by the wisdom that he shared with me." His presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Mary's Cemetery, 110 North Street, Ridgefield. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend. Kane Funeral Home, Ridgefield, is in care of arrangements.

Every time I saw Jim we had a good laugh and conversation. He had the greatest dry humor. Always a sincere and genuine chat and always complimentary. Jim and I almost made it to Limerock. He would have loved it.

Annemarie,

I´m so sorry for your loss. In the TV studio at RHS you would tell stories of your many adventures with James and what you were doing around the house. You both seemed to have a lot energy and fun which you shared with the Ridgefield Community.

So sad to hear, he was a mensch, knew him from pickleball, enjoyed laughing and playing with or against him, and enjoyed talking with him off the court. My condolences to family.
