Leona Goodwin Obituary

Leona Mae (Jones) Goodwin was born December 5, 1946 in Altus AR and passed August 8, 2022 in Citrus Heights at the age 75. She was the 4th child born to Lloyd and Dorothy "Jean" Jones. She is predeceased by her husband Frank Goodwin of Sacramento, her parents, and two sisters: Norma Durham and Brenda Lehman. She is survived by brothers Donald of Citrus Heights and Michael of Rio Linda; and sisters Jo Ann Creel of El Dorado, Mary Conley of Fair Oaks, Eileen Hassel of Rio Linda, Terry Meyer of Rio Linda, Janine Williams of Stockton, and Galen Baker of Wheatland. In addition to siblings, she is survived by over 60 nieces and nephews.
During her lifetime, Leona held a number of occupations but her favorite was caring for family children. She knew how to enjoy life to the fullest and truly enjoyed being with family.
Friends and Family are invited to attend funeral services at Sunset Lawn, 4700 Marysville Blvd. Sacramento on August 31st at 10:00 a.m. Reception will follow her service at North Highlands Community Center (Kay F. Dahill) at 6040 Watt Ave., North Highlands.
