William Lockling Obituary
William (Bill) Lockling was born on May 29, 1925, in Mondamin, Iowa. He passed away on November 10, 2022, in Roseville, California.
Bill and his wife, Carlene, were married on December 5, 1954, and would have been married 69 years. They moved to Rio Linda in 1956, where Bill was the owner and operator of Rio Linda Electronics TV shop for 30 years. For 15 of those years, he and Carlene delivered the Sacramento Union newspapers on their bicycles, retiring in 1990. Later, they worked part time for Brashers Auto Auction for 15 years. Bill also coached Little League baseball for his son's teams.
He is survived by his wife, Carlene; his daughter, Lorelle; sons David (Diana), Brent, Roger (Lea) and Timothy (Gay); brother, Gene (Iowa); 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Bill was laid to rest on November 23, 2022 at Sunset Lawn in Sacramento. A memorial will be held on January 14, at 1 p.m. at the Cottage Way Christian Church (2117 Cottage Way, Sacramento, CA), where he was a member.
