Born: August 1, 1947 | Died: November 23, 2025
Eidson: George Colbert "GC" Bledsoe, 78, of Eidson, Tennessee, passed away on November 23 in Greeneville, Tennessee. He was born on August 1, 1947, in Hancock County. A good Christian man, GC was a faithful member of Independence Missionary Baptist Church, where he was saved and baptized. GC was deeply loved and treasured by his family. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, old westerns, and attending church.
He loved music and played the guitar, often sharing stories of growing up in the mountains of Fisher Valley and Pumpkin Valley, usually with a cup of coffee and a Marlboro Light in hand.
GC was the son of Orbin and Erbie Bledsoe. GC was preceded in death by his sons: Donnie and Rodney Bledsoe; his grandson: Adam Bledsoe; his parents: Orbin and Erbie Bledsoe; his brother: Paul Bledsoe; and his sisters: Teresa Kinsler and Laura Bledsoe.
GC was the devoted husband of Anna Nell Bledsoe, and together they shared 59 years of marriage. Their life together was blessed with five children: Ronnie Bledsoe (Tina), Linda Parsons (Bob), Judy Smith(Tim), Rodney Bledsoe, and Donnie Bledsoe. He leaves behind many loved grandchildren who brought him great joy: Tara, Adam, Sissy, Amber, Lakishia, Kayla, Geriad, Jessica, Brandon, Audrey, Ashley, Heather, Marcus, Silvia, Addy, Abel, Jake, Alayna, Raylan, Oaklee, Natalie, Jackson, and Tatum. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Brown (Fred) and Annie Lawson (Haney)
Visitation hours will be 5-7:00 P.M., Friday, November 28 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will follow 7 P.M., Friday, November 28 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kelsey Whitt and Pastor Dakota Seals officiating.
Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 29 in the Bledsoe Cemetery. Those who wish to go in procession to the cemetery are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 A.M.
