Roy Andrew Livesay, age 85, of Morristown, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at home with his beloved wife Judy Wisecarver Livesay by his side.
Roy was born to Hiram and Virgie Livesay on November 8, 1940. He graduated from Bulls Gap High School and work at NCR, and retired from TRW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. Roy was a faithful member of Guthrie's Gap Primitive Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Virgie Livesay; son, Timothy Livesay; brothers, O.B., Arnold, Willard; sister, Iona Smith, Barbara Wallen and Emogene Price.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Livesay of the home; son, Anthony Livesay (Angie) of Bulls Gap; step-son, that was like a son, Chris Wisecarver (Beth) of Morristown; grandchildren, Telia Smith, Dylan Livesay (McKinley), Jada Livesay; step-grandchildren, Tayler Gann (Brandon), Hunter Wisecarver (fiance McKay Devault) and Emma Amos; great-grandchildren, Elijah Livesay, Jayce Livesay, Oaklynn Goins, Colton Miller, and Anna Smith; brother, John Livesay (Barbara) of Bulls Gap; sisters, Kathleen Long of Rogersville, Faye Livesay Graham of Dayton, Ohio, Mary Jo Vaughn (Alden) of Whitesburg, Deloris Ramsey (Johnny) of Bulls Gap and Volena Gulley (Howard) of Bulls Gap; sister-in-law Betty Livesay of Kingsport; special sister and brother in laws, Eddie and Bobbie Breeding, Hackie and Linda Voiles, Peggy Lakins and Brenda Davis; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm with Rev. Larry Miller and Rev. Dannie Bell officiating. Music will be provided by Burl Matthews, Jamie Gulley, and Charby Jones. Graveside service will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 11:00 am in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Anyone who wishes to follow in funeral procession is asked to meet at Christian-Sells by 9:45 am Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Livesay, Chris Wiseccarver, Dylan Livesay, Hunter Wisecarver, Brandon Gann, and Kevin Ramsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Hackie Voiles, Eddie Breeding, John Ramsey, Alden Vaughn, and the men of Guthrie's Gap Primitive Baptist Church.
