Louis Saeli Obituary

WHITTIER - Louis Anthony Saeli, 63, peacefully passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, at Mission Hospital.
Louis was born Nov. 5, 1961, to the late Dr. Amadeo Benjamin Saeli (2010) and Ollie Bertha Hall Saeli (2018) in Ohio.
Louis lived in southern California half his life before moving to North Carolina in 2000, where he resided. He attended St. John Bosco and Gahr High School. Louis was affiliated with North Asheville Baptist Church.
He was an avid fan of Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He had a deep passion for everything sports from being an athlete, coaching, umpiring to just being a fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching movies, playing board games and music. During the holidays, Louis loved to entertain families dressed as Santa Clause, which he did for almost 40 years.
Surviving Louis is the mother of his children and previous wife, Donna Marie Keiser; sons, Benjamin Anthony Saeli of North Carolina and Louis Anthony Saeli Jr. of California; daughter, Katrina Marie (Hayden James) Pitts of California; granddaughter, Lainey James Pitts; brothers, Phillip Saeli and Michael (Rhonda) Saeli; sister, Martha (Ron Kaiser) Saeli; and six nieces and nephews.
A memorial will be held in California Sunday, Sept. 14.
Big Lou had a personality larger than life. His smile and laugh were infectious. He will be remembered for his kind and loving spirit.
