Joey Efird Obituary
Joey was born on January 8, 1957, to the late J. Edward "Ed" Efird and Janice R. Efird of Oakboro. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gregory L. Efird.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. - 1:45 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Dr. Terrell Watts. A burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery, Oakboro, North Carolina.
Survivors include his mother Janice R. Efird; brother, Terry R. (Patty) Efird of Charlotte, NC; two nieces; and three nephews.
Joey was a happy, joyful, compassionate man who loved people. He always shared a smile and jokes with others. Joey was a natural salesman and worked for several car dealerships around the Charlotte area.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Efird family.

I knew "Country" having worked with him at two car dealerships. He was as nice a man as you'd ever want to meet and helped me immensely getting to know the car business. I always said he could sell an Eskimo ice cubes and he proved that time and again. I am saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.

I remember Joey as a very nice guy in high school at West Stanly. So sorry for your loss and prayers for the family.
