Kathleen Hahn Obituary
Mrs. Hahn was born September 13, 1928, in Stanly County to the late Benjamin Lindsay Whitley and the late Lessie Smith Whitley. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 76 years, Heath Lee Hahn, who passed away in 2022; and seven siblings, Glenn Whitley, Marshall Lee Whitley, Harold Whitley, Lloyd Whitley, Rosa Farmer, Cropsy Burgess and Doris Mabry.
Mrs. Hahn was a faithful member of Red Cross Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School and VBS teacher, WMU member and Choir member. She retired from Stanly Knitting Mills.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Tucker, and husband, Roger; son, Lionel Hahn, and wife, Tamra; son, David Hahn, and wife, Karen; 6 grandchildren, Terry Tucker (Marley), Mark Tucker (Monica), Leslie Wade (Chris), Andrea Lowder (Brandy), Dillon Hahn (Samantha) and Kara Hatley (Tim); 17 great-grandchildren, Courtney, Taryn and Trevor Tucker, Cameron Bowers, Caroline Lee, Kaitlyn, Ashelyn and Madelyn Tucker, Samuel, Jordan, Lola and Channing Wade, Axel and Kadence Lowder, Waylon and Ruby Hahn and Ashton Hatley.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service in celebration of Kathleen's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Red Cross Baptist Church, 112 W. Red Cross Road, Oakboro, officiated by Rev. Dr. Kinney Wallace. Mrs. Hahn will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation for the care of their mother to the staff of Trinity Place and the Hospice nurses of Tillery Compassionate Care.
