Michael Caudle Obituary

Michael Timothy Caudle, 62, of Raleigh, NC died in the early morning of February 21, 2021 due to complications caused by frontotemporal dementia and Parkinson's disease.
Born May 13, 1958, he was the son of Lester Clegg Caudle Jr. and the late Barbara Brown Caudle, both of Albemarle. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill.
Along with his father, he is also survived by wife Lynne and two step-children: Benjamin and Morgan (husband David); two brothers: Les III (wife Lisa) and David; three nieces: Tyler (husband Ben), Brittney (husband Sean), and Jenna; as well as three great nieces and three great nephews.
Mike was part of the 1976 class from Albemarle Senior High School, and graduated with honors from North Carolina State University in 1980 with a bachelor degree in Business Management.
He immediately joined the NC League of Savings Institutions (based in Raleigh), which is now the North Carolina Bankers Association. In 1983, he was promoted to Vice President of Product Development for League Services of NC.
After a very successful career in the financial industry, he retired in 2000 and started his own promotional business, Brandworks.
He was a devoted family man and enjoyed being a husband and step-father, as well as "dad" to his faithful service dog and friend, Charlie.
His family and friends will miss his great sense of humor and his noble sense of loyalty. He had unmatched generosity and a genuine desire for community service, including his volunteer work for the ALS Foundation and the Boys and Girls Clubs Organization.
He cofounded the Continuous Blessings Foundation in memory of his good friend, Chris Bunn, and this organization focuses on fund-raising for the Boys & Girls Clubs serving Wake County.
He loved to travel, in particular the beach, as well as tend to his lawn and garden - truly a backyard enthusiast! He was also an avid golfer, cyclist, runner, bowler, boatman, water skier, and devoted NC State University supporter.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Dementia Alliance of NC located at 9131 Anson Way Suite 206, Raleigh, NC 27615. They can also be reached at www.dementianc.org or 919-832-3732.

I remember Mike fondly when he worked for the NC League of Savings Institutions and I was a young banker at First Federal of Raleigh at North Hills. All of us enjoyed his visits to the bank and remember him always smiling and happy. He was a fine man. Condolences to the Caudle Family.

Oh I have such great memories of this sweet man! He was so young when he started at the Bankers and we had just moved to Raleigh for my dad (Thad) to work there. I'm pretty sure it was the first week Mike had started working there that my sister stuck her head through the banister at the top of our stairs and my dad sent Mike over (lol!) to rescue her. He knew right away to pull her out through the spindles rather than pushing her back through. He was always so level headed and kind hearted. I so enjoyed being around him when I worked in the office or during conventions. What a sweet soul who will be missed by many!
