Alberta Embrey Obituary
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2007, in Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights, with the Rev. Michael Kettner officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Research Fund or Portals of Prayer c/o Christ Lutheran Church in Jacob.
Mrs. Embrey was a homemaker.
She enjoyed being with her family and loved her flowers. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo.
She was born March 1, 1920, in Jackson County to Martin and Erna (Brelje) Hornbostel.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Korando Sr. of Jacob; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bill Moody of Dupo; granddaughters, Tammy Grime and husband, Terry, and Christy Korando; and great-grandsons, Tyler Clarke and Jeremy Grime.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles Korando; second husband, John Embrey; grandson, Dennis Korando Jr.; daughter-in-law, Penny Korando; and sisters, Frieda Heins and Cora Gutersloh.
