ELKVILLE - Anna Marie Alms, 76, of Elkville passed away, Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born on July 24, 1948, to Leonard Charles and Ruth (Rich) Glasser in Murphysboro.
She worked worked as a secretary at Penn Aluminum and for the Health Services and Engineering departments at Southern Illinois University. She also sold Avon for several years and excelled at it. Anna Marie loved spending time with her family and enjoyed camping and crafting in her spare time. She loved talking to people and never met a stranger. She was active at the Murphysboro Hospital Women's Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, Bruce (Beverly) Alms; husband, Richard Boucher; grandson, Brice Wayne Alms; granddaughter, Destiny Lynn Alms; and half brother, Marshall Glasser.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian R. Alms; and brothers, Charles Glasser and David Glasser.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday Nov. 10, at Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral services in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.

Anna Marie, I will miss you so very much! You were a wonderful friend and my best Avon Lady for many years. I pray that you are now at peace and no longer have to carry a heavy battery pack in heaven! You are missed.
