Audrey Holland Obituary

TAMMS - Audrey "Snookie" Holland, 86, of Tamms passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born March 27, 1939, to James B. and Opal (Grant) Wilson in Alexander County, Illinois. She was married for 45 years to Thomas Holland.

Audrey retired after 25 years of service as a claims coordinator for Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance Company. She was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Donald Miller Jr. and Tammy (Lin) Thurman; five grandchildren, Matthew (Katy) Miller, Mindy Pitts, Megan (Patrick) Sanchez, Grant Thurman and Bryce Thurman; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Dimple (John) Honey, Geneva (Gerald) Harvell, Virginia (Bill) Goddard, Patsy (Delmar) Brown, LaVerne (Harold) Thompson, and Brenda Sue Wilson.

Funeral services will be at noon Monday, Sept. 8, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with Rev. Davy Miller officiating. A visitation will be prior to the services from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Rose Hill Cemetery and/or Sandy Creek Baptist Church.

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms is in charge of arrangements.
