Brian Wright Obituary

HERRIN -- Brian K. Wright, 46, passed away suddenly at 8:43 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Brian was born Aug. 6, 1965, in Herrin to Pamela (Roberts) Wright.

Brian returned to the Herrin area after working in Las Vegas for 14 years. He was employed in the business department at Carpet One in Marion. Brian was a graduate of Carterville High School. He continued his education at SIU Carbondale with a B.S. degree in finance and accounting. Brian enjoyed music, especially listening to the blues. He loved baseball and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.

"He will be remembered in the heart of his family and friends."

Brian is survived by his mother and stepfather, Pamela and Larry Barnes of Herrin; grandfather, Bobbie Roberts of Johnston City; uncle, Gary Roberts of Johnston City; special cousin, Kaley Roberts of St. Charles, Mo.; and two great-aunts, Carol Ann Smith and husband, Jerry, of Du Quoin, and Deloris Holdrith of Indiana. He is also survived by numerous cousins and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen L. (Wooton) Roberts.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, in Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with Jason Ishmael officiating. Interment will be in Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
