I knew Collin as a neighbor and close friend. I worked at the Anna State Hospital three summers in the late 1950's and Collin provided me a ride to work every day. We shared an interest in horses. In those days he was a farrier as a part time trade (shoed horses).
I have wonderful memories of those days. I also fondly remember the old gray horse called Pepper that his kids loved to ride over to our farm. I also remember Collin's characteristic, mischevious grin when he found something funny or he just wanted to kid with someone.

My sympathies to his sweet wife Ethelene and his family. I will miss him.

I remember as a young boy attending Anna Heights Baptist Church...Collin was my RA's leader and craft teacher at VBS...he always took me out to his farm every year on my birthday...I always thought a lot of and looked up to Collin...He was one of a kind and one of the best person's that I had met and come to know during my life...He will be greatly missed...
