HANNIBAL, Mo. - Edgar "Ed" Lee Bridgewater, 79, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Cheryl Bridgewater; three daughters, Sonya Bridgewater, Mindy Watson, and Amy West; and six cherished grandchildren.
Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Helen (Anderson) Bridgewater, of Galesburg.
Edgar worked at the Social Security Administration offices in Minnesota, Illinois and retired in Sikeston, after 27 years of service.
