Frances Baltrusis Obituary

ROYALTON - Frances Baltrusis, 87, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, in Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.

Frances was born March 10, 1920, in Royalton to John and Antonina (Pazereskas) Baltrusis.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Harvey Short; two brothers, Bart and Sam Baltrusis, all of Royalton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ann Norbut, Frieda Sich and Eva Kuhnke; an infant sister, Mary Baltrusis; and a brother, John Baltrusis.

Ms. Baltrusis was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Alter Sodality in Royalton.

She retired in 1982, as a comptroller for Sears and Roebuck in Chicago.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, in St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Royalton, with Father Trevor Murry officiating. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, east of Royalton. Visiting hours are from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Vantrease Funeral Home in Royalton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, P.O. Box 100, Royalton, IL 62983 or the American Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 2050 Pfingsten Rd., Suite 127, Glenview, IL 60026-1391. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
