ANNA - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Freida June Sheible while surrounded by the comfort and love of all five of her daughters. Our heavy hearts find comfort in the thought of mom being greeted by Jesus with her mother and stepfather, Ola Mae and Clarence Essex and her father and stepmother Freeman and Nettie Rodgers.
Freida will be greatly missed by her five daughters Marcy Money (Clyde) Abernathy, Gigi Money (Ralph) Mize, Terri Money (Robert) Kisro, Karen Money (David) Frayser and Leslie Money (Chip) Markel.
Freida loved all her sons-in-law just as her own. Freida enjoyed hours of cooking in her kitchen amongst the chaos that ensued with the house full of her children and grandchildren. Freida also enjoyed Scrabble and word games, sewing, canning and hummingbirds.
After raising all five daughters, Freida ventured out of the home to start a new journey, and at the age of 50, she enrolled in nursing school and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the next 20 years.
Freida was preceded in death by her siblings Susan, Donnie, Harley, Lawrence, Stretch, and Dewey and special sister-in-law Joyce.
Frieda will also be missed by her 13 grandchildren; Kari, CJ, Matthew, Justin, Kristin, Kaci, Erica, Kyle, Brendan, Sean, Austin, Shannon and Toni; and 19 great grandchildren who gave her much joy.
She will also be greatly missed by her special sister Jo Ann (Tony) Sissom; sisters, Lisa Rodgers, Joyce Bearden; brothers Hank (Tina) Rodgers, Gary Rodgers, Skippy (Phyllis) Rodgers, Mickey Rodgers, Ronnie Rodgers, Junior Rodgers, and Steve (Lisa) Essex. Mom is loved and will be missed by her special sister-in-law and frequent cohort Phyllis Menees Rodgers.
We would like to express our utmost thanks and appreciation to Providence Hospice and the entire staff of The Lutheran Home. We cannot speak highly enough of the care, support and many prayers that our mother, lovingly known to all as "Feisty Freida," received while under their care.
Shewas famous for her good attitude and quick wit even in her final days. Special thanks to her granddaughters Kaci and Bobbie for caring for her as hospice nurses.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests with gratitude, that memorial contributions be made in the form of donations to Providence Hospice.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna with the funeral service at 1 p.m. there with remembrances by the family. Interment will follow the service at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
