Jeremy Brotherton Obituary

WEST FRANKFORT - Jeremy Wayne Brotherton, 24, passed away at 10:23 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 1, 1986, in West Frankfort, to Tim Brotherton and Debbie L. (Taylor) Brotherton.

Survivors include his fiancée, Brittany Hampton; a son, Layne Anthony Brotherton of West Frankfort; parents, Tim and Debbie (Taylor) Brotherton of West Frankfort; sisters, Brandy (Kevin) Bettis of Herrin and Taylor Brotherton of West Frankfort; maternal grandmother, Gracie Taylor of West Frankfort; paternal grandmother, Peggy Brotherton of West Frankfort; uncles, Rick (Marcheta) Taylor and David (Sharon) Taylor, all of West Frankfort; and an aunt, Terry Roberts of West Frankfort.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jackson Taylor Sr.; paternal grandfather, Jimmy Brotherton; and uncle, Jackson Taylor Jr.

Jeremy attended Harmony Church and Thompsonville Church of God as a child. He attended school in West Frankfort. He enjoyed fish-ing with his good friend, Tanner, and playing guitar with his cousin, Ty.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, in Parker Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with the Rev. Frankie Starrick offi-ciating. Burial will be in Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort. Visitation will be after 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to his son's education fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.

The one thing i will for sure remember about you is that you always called me katie! No matter what we were doing, you called me katie. I always noticed that.
