Jo Campbell Obituary
WEST FRANKFORT - Jo Ellen Campbell, 78, of The Villages, Florida, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, due to Cancer and related complications.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1946, in Herrin to Bennie and Margaret Patterson Roe of West Frankfort.
Jo Ellen loved her family, playing tennis, and later in retirement golf.
She was primarily employed in Northern Virginia as an executive scretary by Sallie Mae, the student loan marketing corporation affiliated with the federal government.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Terri Lynn Minton.
Jo Ellen is survived by her husband of 58 years, James Eugene Campbell; one daughter, Darci; three grandsons, Justin, Matthew and Joey; and a great-grandson, James.
Jo Ellen will be interred at a future date in Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort, Illinois. No service will be held, per her wishes. Cremation by Baldwin Brothers, Wildwood, Florida, 352-205-4210.
