Joyce Thomas Obituary
WESTN FRANKFORT - Joyce Ann Thomas, 83, of West Frankfort, passed away 10:28 a.m. Thursday May 9, 2024, in Westside Rehab and Care Center.
Joyce was born Feb. 11, 1941, in Whittington, to Ralph M. and Pearl (Carlton) Smith. She was a member of First Christian Church - West Frankfort for many years. Joyce was in a bowling league for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ralph Smith; sisters, Mary Schwin, Martha VanDyke, Faye Kraph and Norma Page.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Bob Thomas; sons, Raymond (Lisa) Thomas and Greg (Hollie Brown) Thomas; brothers, Robert (Lorene) Smith and Jack (Francis) Smith; sister, Linda (Lou) Akerman; grandchildren, Zachary (Laura) Thomas, MaryAnn (Matt) McCall and Elijah Thomas; great-grandchildren, Adalyn and Lucy.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 13, in Union Funeral Home - West Frankfort. T.J. Gentry officiated. Burial followed at Knob Prairie Cemetery - Aikn. Visitation was held prior to the services.
