MARION - Mary Jean Overby, 97, of Marion, died at 7:53 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, in the Integrity Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Marion.
Her working career was with RK Manufacturing Company, The Universal Match Company, She last worked for Diagraph Bradley in the Ordill area for 27 years until her retirement in 1989.
She was a member of Heartland Christian Church.
She is survived by her son, David Gene Overby; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Ruth Grace (Cash) Clark; her loving husband of 75+ years, Max; one sister, Dorothy Clark; and two brothers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion.
The visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home. Following the visitation, the funeral service will be at 11 a.m., with Allan Meyerhoff presiding. Burial will follow next to her husband in Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City.
Memorial donations may be made to Heartland Christian Church. Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home, or donations may be mailed c/o Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court St., Marion, IL 62959.
