Patsy Brandon

HERRIN -- Patsy Lou Brandon, 74, passed away 7:41 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, in Herrin Hospital.

Patsy worked as an executive assistant for Beatrice Foods in Chicago, Container Stapling in Herrin, Mid America Mortgage in Carterville and for SIU Carbondale.

Patsy was born May 31, 1937, in Herrin to Lester S. and Genevieve (Damron) Brandon.

Surviving are her siblings, Bettie Dugger and her husband, Jim, of Herrin, Wanda Brandon of Marion, Carolyn Brandon and her husband, Dan Lane, of Carbondale, Lillie Brandon of Columbia, Art Brandon and his wife, Mary Ann, of Zeigler, Richard Brandon of Tamaroa, Margaret Agner and her husband, John, of Peoria, Brenda Kornemann and her husband, Buck, of Winder, Ga., Gary Brandon and his wife, Linda, of Carterville, Christine McVey and her husband, Cary, of Carbondale and Cynthia Miller and her husband, Steven, of Herrin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 5, in Blairsville Cemetery with the Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Family and friends wishing to attend the service are asked to gather at the cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested and may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
