Russell Wingerter Obituary
MURPHYSBORO - Russell "Wink" Wingerter, 89, of Murphysboro died Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at his home.
Russell had worked at Morgan Ford Tractor, became a Murphysboro policeman, and finally as a owner/operator of Wink's Radiator and Air Conditioning.
Survivors include his son, Bruce Wingerter; daughter, Theresa Starnes; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bernice (Bright) Wingerter; and wife, Alvalyne Qualls.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, in Murdale Gardens of Memory, with the Rev. Jim Easton officiating. Interment will follow the service.
Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
