Zachary Stein Obituary
He was born Dec. 10, 1986, Murphysboro to James Stein and Karen Provoe.
Zachary was employed as a welder with Fricke Mine Construction.
He is survived by a daughter, Mercedes; and a son, James Robert Stein of Southern Illinois; his mother and stepfather, Karen and Bob Haney of Bunker Hill; three sisters, Stacy and her spouse, Richard Moorehead, of De Soto, Amy Stuart of Murphysboro and Haley Stein of Southern Illinois; three brothers, Eric Stein, Jason and his spouse, Beth Myers, and Ryan Stein, all of Murphysboro; his paternal grandmother, Emma Stein of Murphysboro; and a dear friend, Sunni Shemwell of Granite City.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Stein.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, in the Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, with the Rev. Mike Handlin offici-ating. Cremation rites will take place after the services.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Karen and Robert Haney.

I'm very sorry that Zach passed away. I only spoke to Zach about 10-15 times in the past 6 years, but you could tell he had character and was a good man. May the family find comfort when, how, and where they can.
