I´m running my first marathon this year-in St. George! I got an email about an award named after her. The training g and running is so hard. Reading about her inspired me to keep going with my training. I´ll be thinking about her when I do my big 18 mile run this week! And again during the actual marathon of course! She seems like she was a great lady, and I´m sure she´s still doing wonderful things in heaven.

I am so saddened to hear of Debbie's passing. She was a shining light at the Huntsman Games 10k race. I am so happy that I had the good fortune to get to know her 'a bit' and share our BC jam with her. Jackie and Danny Eddy, Sooke, BC

This is so sad to hear. Larry Heffer spoke nothing but good things about her. They worked together as hiking guides. Larry and I worked and ran together at red mountain resort until he moved on to the biggest loser at the time. I met Debbie after finishing the red mountain 50k. She came up to me to congratulate me for my first place finish and said you must be Kerri cause Larry said the first finisher would be you. I feel in love with her then. Over the years of us guiding for two different companies we would pass on the trails, she put a smile on my face and I would ask her if she would as again be putting another year in the St. George marathon . Well we all know the answer to that, lol . Then I would ask her what race she was now preparing for. She is and always will be thought of in this running community as just another as Larry Heffer would say addictive runner. Thanks Debbie for encouraging so many and chearing us on.

My condolences to the Zockoll family. I only met Debbie twice, both times at the St George Marathon. I only ran it 17 times but of all my 77 marathons, it was the most beautiful. I can see why Debbie fell in love with the race. She will Always be the Queen of St George! Debbie, "MILES OF SMILES"...the running world has lost a Star. We will miss you. Crazrnr Bill

Debbie was loved by all that knew her. I had the privilege of her son Josh and his wife Michelle working for me. Debbie was a wonderful mother to her two boys and a loving wife to Tony. She has left us way to early but certainly left her mark in the St. George community. An inspiration to all of us.
