Gary Baker Obituary

Gary M Baker

St. George, UT

Gary Max Baker left us on April 19, 2017 after many years of living with kidney failure. He was born in Salina, Utah on January 12, 1945 to Max Mangum Baker and Madge White Baker. He married Janell Smith on November 17, 1972 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised four children, and remained active in the LDS faith. Gary served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He spent most of his working years with Greyhound where he enjoyed traveling around the country. Travel was an important part of his life and enjoyed many vacations with family and his wife Janell. Gary was a devoted father and worked hard for his family. He enjoyed family reunions and was proud of his pioneer ancestry. He also enjoyed associating with people in the community and was kind and thoughtful to others. Gary is survived by his wife Janell, three sons and one daughter: Kelton (Aleisha), Gavin, Seth (Aimee), Emily (Charles). Twelve grandchildren, his sister, Vee Ann Seeger (Spencer), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ora Neil, and brother-in-law Howard Deitlif. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 28th at 11:00 am at the Tonaquint Cemetery 1777 South Dixie Drive St. George, UT 84770
