H. Lorene Barrett Chadburn Turner

Enterprise

Lorene Turner, age 91, passed away on June 13, 2014 at the home of her son, Steven Chadburn in Enterprise, Utah. She was born to William Petite Barrett and Fayra Marguerite McBride on June 6, 1923 in La Porte City, Iowa. She served in the Navy during WWII from 1943 to 1945 where she met Jean "Jene" Burke Chadburn. They were married on December 9, 1944 and had five children.

In 2002, she moved to Enterprise, Utah to live with her son, Steven. She was a talented woman and extraordinary crochet artist. Her works can be seen in many homes. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lorene is survived by her children: Jene Arden of Hurricane, Steven (LaNeta) of Enterprise, Linda (Justin) Neighbor of Hurricane, and Mary (Ken) Richmond of La Verkin. At the time of her passing she was blessed with 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and with her first great-great-grandchild due in July. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; two brothers; daughter and son-in-law Verlee and John Tommarello; and grandsons: Christopher and Mitchell.

The family wishes to thank Southern Utah Home Care and Hospice; especially Tarron, Kayla, Pam and Connie.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 12:00 p.m., with a viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Enterprise LDS Stake Center, 80 South Center Street, Enterprise, Utah. Interment will follow at the Enterprise Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
