Marilyn Bradshaw Obituary

Marilyn Topham Bradshaw

Adamsville, Utah

Our dear mother, grandmother and friend, Marilyn Topham Bradshaw, 87, returned to her Heavenly Father, Sunday, November 5, 2017. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Marilyn was born June 2, 1930 to Joseph Leonard and Carmen Evans Topham. Marilyn was the second child in a family of 2 girls. Marilyn grew up in Paragonah, Utah where her family was involved in farming. They were also active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She married Harold Ward Bradshaw on June 18, 1948. Their marriage was solemnized in the St George Temple on September 24, 1948. Their union was blessed with 7 children, 4 boys and 3 girls.

Marilyn was a hard worker all of her life. She worked tirelessly alongside Harold to build up their ranching and cattle business. She also worked at Beaver Variety Store for several years. She was a very independent woman. She was always interested in taking care of everyone else. She never worried about herself.

Marilyn was active in the Church most of her life and served faithfully in several of the organizations of the Church. Even at the end she made sure that Cindy knew where the birthday cards for the Relief Society Sisters were so that someone else could take over her job. She made countless baby blankets for members of her ward and was quick to take meals into families in need.

Marilyn was certainly one of Jesus Christ's disciples. She served her family and her fellowmen tirelessly even when her serious lung condition made it difficult for her. Any time anyone asked her how she was she would reply "I'm O.K" She never complained and just kept enduring. She was kind and treated everyone the same.

Marilyn's family was her life. She loved us unconditionally and was always there when we needed her. Her example of selfless love is something we can all aspire to emulate. Her mind was always sharp. Her wit and wisdom will be missed.

Marilyn was preceded in death by a son David, a daughter Nicki, and her husband Harold. She is survived by her children Elmer and Karla Evans, Steven and Jana Bradshaw, Wayne and Cindy Burrows, Wayne and Traci Bradshaw, and Ross and Ellen Bradshaw. She had 24 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 10 at 1 p.m. Viewing will be held from 9:30-12:30 at the Greenville Church in Greenville, Utah. Interment will be at the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah, under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.

You don't know me, but I am a Topham from Paragonah. I grew up with your mother(she was 4 days older than me) and attended school there and in Parowan. I learned to roller skate on the path of the family home. I also married Clefford Evans's son Dale and had 3 children with him. I live in Pocatello Idaho and Valrae sent me Marilyn's obituary. I have fond memories of our childhood and share in your loss.
sincerely, Janette Topham Evans Fifield

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.
