Paul McClure Obituary

Paul McClure

St George

Paul Warren McClure, beloved husband, father, grandpa, "grandpa great" brother, hero and friend peacefully left this earthly home October 1, 2012. He was born July 13, 1936 to Paul A. and Mary McClure DeRemer.

He will be greatly missed by his family; wife Judi Sylvester McClure, his daughter Allison McClure, grandchildren Chelsey McClure, Shawn McClure(Sharon), Scott McClure, Kerry McClure, Candice Leigh, and great-grand babies Zaylie and Avree McClure, his brother Ralph (Eileen) McClure, many dear cousins and in-laws and almost every person he has ever met or with whom he has done business-or played tennis-or shared the gospel. He goes to join his four daughters, Terese, Erin, Erika, and Kristin, beloved grandparents, George and Esther McClure, his mother Mary McClure, uncles Bill (Clarice) and Frank (Frances). Mary Ralph and Paul lived with Grandma and Grandpa so he grew up very close to these good men and their families and benefited from their influences.

Paul loved his Savior and served faithfully in every calling from home teacher to stake high council-a calling he dearly loved because he loved to teach the gospel and he loved the people of this stake and those with whom he served.

Dear Judi, Allison and the McClure family,
I am so sorry to hear of uncle Paul's passing. I have so many great memories of the times that I was fortunate to have been included in trips to Lake Powell and the wonderful times in Draper. Going out to Draper was such a treat when I was a kid, getting to see all of the cousins, aunts and uncles and of course grandma and grandpa. There was not much that could beat that. Those are some of the best childhood memories I have. I am glad that we were able to see each other last year at the Tuff family reunion, it had been quite a while before that since we had seen each other. I promise I will come see you the next time I am down in St George.

Rest is peace Uncle Paul.

~ Love Stan Sylvester and family

Judy, So glad we came to see you and Paul last month. Was saddened to see how ill Paul was and am very happy to know he is now without pain and finally with so many beloved people that he loved. I know my father, Frank, loved him so much and always respected and valued him as such a fine man. I have pictured their reunion---how glorious I know it must have been. I'm sure the celebration continues as he valiantly returned to his Heavenly Father. Well done, Paul---thou good and faithful servant.

Dear Judi, Allison, and McClure Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your sad loss. Our Family is blessed to enjoy your families friendship. In fact growing up I thought you were family as you lived down the street from my Moms family,(as did many other relatives). We've shared wonderful times together camping, fishing, Shopping, and Bonding. Much laughter and good times.
Paul will always be remembered as a Very Kind and Loving Man. He loved his family and is still a Great Example to all.
May you find comfort in memories of good times.
Love,

Judy and Family,
It has been years since I have seen you but I feel as though I know you so well because of my parents, Tom & Leici (Whetman) Webb, and the great friendship and love that they have for you. You have both been an inspiration to our family.

It is never easy when a loved one is called home but it is so refreshing to know that they have left behind a great legacy as Paul has.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

With much love,
Brent and Sue Webb, Granite Bay, CA

Judy- we are so sorry for your loss. We live in Texas now, but I noticed the obituary while just scanning the Deseret News online. As you might remember, I worked for years with Paul and your good mom LaPreal. Paul was a great teacher. He trained me to take over his job when he left Allreds. May the good Lord bless you in your time of sorrow.
