Sandra Allene Keyes Bench

Cedar City

Sandra Allene Bench, 80, passed away February 17, 2017, in Cedar City, Utah surrounded by her sweetheart of 62 years and family. She was born August 14, 1936, in Ogden, Utah to Lester and Hazel (Witten) Keyes. She married Ronald Bench on February 12, 1955, and was sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on February 12, 1960.

She grew up in Utah and lived in California before returning to Utah. She was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She held positions in Primary, Relief Society and Scouting. She was known for her infectious smile and her love of music. She enjoyed her family, grandkids and great grandkids. She loved flowers, music and working in the St. George Temple.

She is survived by: her husband, Ron; her children, Debbie Pogue, Sherry (Garth) Allen, Mike (Robyn) Bench and Jeff (Bonnie) Bench, 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her brother Carl; and her son Baby Boy Bench.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 24th at 11 am at the Canyon View Stake Center at 1985 N. Main St. in Cedar City, with a viewing starting at 9:30 am. Visitation will be Thursday February 23rd from 6 pm-8 pm at the same location. Interment will be Monday, February 27th at 11:00 am at Aultorest Memorial Park in Ogden, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Temple Fund or Intermountain Cancer Services.

Friends and family are invited to share condolences online at www.serenitystg.com. Arrangements and Memorial Tree Planting are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home of Southern Utah, 435-986-2085.
