Shirley Freedell Obituary
Shirley Ann Slaton Freedell- age 80 A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where Shirley served numerous Church and Temple callings and maintained a Temple Recommend throughout her adult life, Shirley served a faithful two year Temple assignment at the St. George, UT Temple, sadly passed away from a lengthy illness October 19, 2014.
Shirley was born August 22, 1934 in River View, Alabama, and Chambers County. To Zachary Taylor Slaton (Chief) and Maggie Lorene Dollar Slaton.
She married Samuel Lee Freedell Jr., November 20, 1985 at the L.D.S. Washington D.C. Temple.
Shirley is survived by her faithful and loving husband Samuel Lee Freedell Jr. of Enoch, Utah, Her two sons Billy G. Hartiman Jr. and wife Sherry of Grand Junction, Colorado, Joey D. Daniels of Dalton, GA. And a daughter Janis Marie Valeski Staycer and husband Mark of Traverse City, Michigan. Shirley was preceded in death by two sons, Levi Hartiman and Samuel Lee Freedell III, two daughters her eldest Jonnie Rebecca Valeski Ransom, and her youngest daughter Nancy Diane Daniels Powers and grandson Joey Powers. Shirley has 8 adored grandchildren.
Shirley was known for her loving and caring spirit and nature, and a sincere belief and devoted love for Jesus Christ her Savior.
Graveside services will take place in the Enoch City Cemetery, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

This was my adopted Mom who has guided me faithfully through the past 20 years of my life. I will miss her voice and her companionship until I see her at the feet of Jesus! Stay strong Sam and Bill. I love you both.

We can be sure of this reality because God has promised as seen from His divine words about the near future.Perhaps you or I may see those missing from our lives due to sickness or injury that leads to death.
