David Wohner Obituary

David Wohner, 73, of Washington Avenue in Springfield, passed away at 1:17 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at University of Louisville Hospital.
A native of Washington County, he was born on July 4, 1944, to the late Randle B. and Fern Lanham Wohner.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a former employee of General Electric Company.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Betty June Foster Wohner on Nov. 15, 2013; a son, Marty Wohner on May 14, 1995; a sister, Barbara Chesser on April 7, 2001 and three brothers, Ronald Louis Wohner on Aug. 1, 1953, Rue Allen Wohner on Dec. 13, 2006, and Joseph E. Wohner on April 21, 2016.
Survivors include his son, Randy Wohner (Sherry) of Rural Hall, N.C.; his grandson, David C. Wohner of Rural Hall, N.C.; sister, Geraldine Noel (Lonnie); brother, Kenny Wohner and sister-in-law, Mattie Wohner all of Springfield.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 21, at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Cal Adams, the church pastor, officiating.
Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Tabitha Jewell, Todd Noel, Bill Chesser, David Castro, David C. Wohner and Dustin Barr.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
