Francis Blanford Obituary
A native of Holy Cross, he was born May 7, 1962. He formerly worked as a supervisor with BCD Construction in Bardstown and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was also an avid hunter and craftsman.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Bartley Blanford; his mother, LaVern Wortham Blanford of Holy Cross; one daughter, Rene Blanford Boblett of Mount Sterling; and two sons, Aaron Blanford of Loretto and C. J. Baker of Bardstown
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery where the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites.
Pallbearers are Aaron Blanford, C.J. Baker, Mike Hobbs, Louis Hagan,Greg Blanford and Chuck Blanford; Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Hagan, Nathan Watkins, Devin Watkins, Dillon Norman, Blake Blanford and Isaac Hagan.
Mattingly Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
