James Boblitt Obituary

James Robert "PeeWee" Boblitt, age 77, of Willisburg, KY passed away at 4:06 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023 at his home after an illness.

A native of Washington County, he was born on November 21, 1945 to the late Robert and Nellie Lewis Boblitt.

He was a member of the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy and a retired employee of the Modine Company of Harrodsburg.

Preceding him in death were two sisters, Wanda Hudson on February 24, 1998 and Virginia Thompson on March 17, 2009.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Marlene Loney Boblitt; a son, Jason Boblitt (Tammy) of Willisburg; two daughters, Melinda Royalty (Steven) of Willisburg and Kathy Apanewicz (Frank) of Taylorsville; four grandchildren, Kayce Apanewicz, Kayla Apanewicz, Taylor Baker and Steven Royalty, Jr.; a brother, Jackie Boblitt (Tami) of Bardstown and two sisters, Pam Burkhead (Paul) of Willisburg and Augustine Carey (Kenny) of Harrodsburg.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15th at the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Keith Creech, the church pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Willisburg.

Pallbearers will be Philip Coulter, Larry Boblett, Dewayne Hudson, Jackie Boblitt, Allan Loney, and Charles Bobblett

Visitation will be from 4 until 9 Tuesday at the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy.

Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
