Joseph Logsdon Obituary
Joseph Patrick "Pat" Logsdon, age 90 of Loretto, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the Willows at Citation in Lexington. He was born November 28, 1931, to Stanley and Margaret Buckman Logsdon of Springfield. He retired from IBM in Lexington. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in Korea. He was a member of Saint Charles Catholic Church.
In 1957 Pat married Susan Marie Thomas, and they were married for 52 years. They had 6 children and 10 grandchildren. He lived life to the fullest and he so loved his family and friends. He was a master storyteller, and no one loved a good time better than he did.
He was highly respected and admired, not only by his family, but also by those who worked with him. Pat will be fondly remembered for his absolute refusal to complain about his circumstances. He was upbeat and optimistic always. He loved his family dearly. His children respected him, and his grandchildren adored him.
On his bucket list---he worked 32 years at IBM as a tool maker and thought he was entitled to 32 years of retirement pay, and he got it. He had many fond memories of his friends from IBM. He also enjoyed many wonderful reunions and road trips with his National Guard buddies.
After his wife Sue died in 2009, Pat met and married another great love, Patsy. They were blessed with eleven years of love and happiness. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren, and he was so proud of all their accomplishments in school and in their lives. Pat was one of the lucky ones that left this world happy with the life he created for himself.
Pat was preceded in death by his wife Sue Thomas Logsdon; one son, David; one sister Ann Sims; one brother, Tom Logsdon.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy O'Daniel Logsdon, five children, Patti Logsdon of Lexington, Mike Logsdon (Alice) of New York, Phil Logsdon (Kathleen) of Stamping Ground, Doug Logsdon (Alice) and Gary Logsdon (Dana) all of Lexington; 10 grandchildren, Carey and Jake Parsons and Emma, Hannah, Karina, Cam, Gus, Erin, Avery, and Chuck Logsdon.
