Leandra Cox Obituary

Leandra Kay Herrensmith Cox, age 57, of Springfield, KY passed away at 10:47 a.m., Sunday, October 6, 2024 at her home.

She was born on August 30, 1967 in Louisville, Kentucky to Larry K. and Shirley Wix Herrensmith.

She was a 1985 graduate of Doss High School and a former employee of Toys-R-Us.

Survivors include her husband, Donald R. Cox; her son, Nathan T. Cox (Michelle) of Shepherdsville; a grandson, Jaxson Cox; her parents, Larry and Shirley Herrensmith of Springfield; a sister, Kelly Lynn Koenig (Corey) and their children, Piper and Cole Koenig of Springfield.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Sherrell, officiating.

Burial was in the Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Corey Koenig, Cole Koenig, David Wix, Ray Wix, Rannie Wix and Kevin Bishop.

Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
