Linda Curtsinger Carney, age 77, of Lawrenceburg Road, Willisburg, passed away at 3:12 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at her home after an illness. She was born in Lebanon, Kentucky on June 21, 1944, to the late Ezra Winfield and Delma Angie Mattingly Curtsinger. She was a member of the Rockbridge Baptist Church and a 1962 graduate of Willisburg High School and a homemaker. Preceding her in death was a sister, Helen Faye Dennis on July 13, 2021. Survivors include her husband, Joe Carney; two sons, Gary Carney and Troy Carney of Springfield; three grandchildren, Kristy Miles (Brian) and Shandi Carney of Willisburg and Heather Nally (Matt) of Bloomfield; three great grandchildren, Gage Carney, Zachary Miles and Colton Nally and one sister, Judy Skimmerhorn (Connie) of Willisburg. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Terry McIlvoy , pastor of the Rockbridge Baptist Church, officiating. He was will assisted by Rev. J.W. Hatfield, pastor of the Willisburg Baptist Church. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg. Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Skimmerhorn, Gage Carney, Matt Nally, Brian Miles, Zachary Miles and Colton Nally. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
