Ruby Noel Obituary
A native of Washington County, she was born on Dec. 13, 1921, to the late Herbert and Minnie Harlow Tingle.
She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, a longtime employee of the Lincoln Homestead State Golf Course and a Kentucky Colonel.
Preceding her in death was her husband, William H. Noel on Oct. 31, 1989, her son, Donnie Noel on June 7, 2007, and three brothers, Randall Tingle on Feb. 8, 1994, John R. Tingle on Jan. 30, 2002, and Billy Tingle on Jan. 17, 2013.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice Lamb (Kenny) of Harrodsburg; daughter-in-law, Brenda Noel of Mackville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a sister, Martha Offutt of Springfield and a brother, Leroy Tingle of Louisville.
Funeral services was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Sherrell, pastor of the Springfield Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were David Tingle, Larry Edelen, Joe Wheatley, Pat Cassetty, Buck Hourigan, Jim Morgeson, Donnie Miles, John Isaacs, Bill Rudd, Les Manley, Katie Manley and Kenny Hardin.
Casket bearers were Travis Lamb, Brad Noel, Randy Mayes Jr., Tony Tingle, Mike Tingle and Steve Tingle.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
