Ruby Stine Obituary

Ruby May Perkins Stine, 92, widow of Bobby Ary Stine, passed away June 24, 2023 at Signature Healthcare at Heritage Hall in Lawrenceburg.

Born in Franklin County, on Aug. 13, 1930, she was the daughter of Dewey Lee Perkins and Daisy Gladys Wiley Perkins. A 1949 graduate of Kavanaugh High School, Ruby worked as a machine operator and line sorter at Y.K.K. (Universal Fasteners) in Lawrenceburg. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church in Washington County and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, being on the go and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Renee (Paul) Shelton of Lawrenceburg and Charlotte (Rick) Staton of Springfield; 5 grandchildren, Larry (Jamie) Shelton, Alisha (Chad) Clark, Austin (Tara) Fields, John (Amanda) Staton, and Marcus (Britney) Staton; 7 great-grandchildren, Riley Shelton, Regan Shelton, Brennan Clark, Aryonna Clark, Logan Gillis, Leila Pruitt, and Corbin Staton; siblings, Ann Carter, Connie Shelton, Joan (JW) Cook, and Jerry (Shirley) Perkins, and several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Betty Brewer, Aline Woodard, David Perkins, and Dewey Lee Perkins Jr.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Bro. Bart Price and Bro. Stacy Wilson will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Willisburg Cemetery, Willisburg. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and at 11 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Shelton, Chad Clark, Brennon Clark, Austin Fields, Logan Gillis, Marcus Staton. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Brenda Owens, Harold and Linda Byrd.
