David Berns Obituary

David "Davey" G. Berns, 70, of Elrosa, passed away Oct. 24, 2024, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
Davey was born Aug. 7, 1954, to Joseph A. and Margaret M. (Bauer) Berns in Melrose.
Davey lived his entire life on the family farm, caring for the homestead with great pride. He was a patient and quiet man who enjoyed an uncomplicated life on the farm. His happy place was on the tractor, whether working in the field or meticulously tending to his acres of lawn. His gentle spirit and devotion to those he loved were immeasurable. Though seemingly quiet, he had much to share once engaged in conversation. Davey's kind demeanor and charming smile will forever be with us.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Berns; and his brother, Dennis Berns.
Davey is survived by his five siblings, Doreen (Michael) Stockman, Duane Berns, Doris (Michael) Anderson, Dale (Susan) Berns and Diane (Walter) Johnson; seven nieces and nephews; and seven grandnieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. A gathering for friends and family will be held at the church from 9-11 a.m.
Please join the family for a luncheon in the church basement immediately following the interment at the Elrosa cemetery.
The family kindly requests no flowers.
