Caroldon Merchand Obituary
Muncie - Caroldon S. Merchand, 70, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Richmond on May 16, 1946, the daughter of William and Ethel Marie (Ball) Hedrick.
Caroldon attended Muncie Central High School. She attended Indiana University, where she received a certificate in tax law and attended a college in Charlotte, North Carolina where she received a certificate in computer science. Caroldon worked thirty- one years for First Merchant bank as a Tax Trust Officer and Vice President. She married James Merchand on March 19, 1963.
Survivors include her husband of fifty- four years, James Merchand; three sons; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Private services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital Cancer Center, 2401 W. University Ave., Muncie, IN 47303.
