Earnest McCoy Obituary
- - Earnest McCoy, 57, was born March 20, 1961 to Jessie and Earnestine McCoy in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He moved to Muncie, Indiana at an early age and attended local schools including Southside High School. He was most recently employed by DYI and LS Ayres Warehouse. He departed this life Friday, May 25, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He leaves to celebrate his memory four sisters; Rosa Lee Howard of Muncie, In; Sylvia McCoy of Indianapolis, IN; Jessie Mae Burnette, Angela Faye (Alberto) Conde, six brothers; Ruben Flemens, Sam (Brenda) Anderson, Larry (Deloris) McCoy, and Wade (Dorothy) McCoy all of Muncie, IN; John (Louise) McCoy of Kentucky and James Earl Hemphill of Clarksdale, MS; two aunts; Juanita Davis of Muncie, IN an Mary Lee Davis of Chicago, IL; two special nieces Rosetta Kelly and Debra Marshall and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Earnest was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings; Roosevelt McCoy, Sylvester McCoy, Francis McCoy and Lou McCoy, and two brother-in-laws; Charles Howard and James Clemens.
The family will receive friends at Bethel Baptist Church 1431 East Willard Street, Muncie Indiana on Saturday, June 2, 2019 at 10:00am to 12:00p.m. His celebration of life will begin at noon with Pastor Larry McCoy officiating. Services entrusted to Carmichael Funeral Services, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
