Gerald Wiswasser Obituary

Gerald Wiswasser, 83

MUNCIE - Gerald Wiswasser, 83, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Gerald was born August 27, 1933 to Gerald F. Wiswasser Sr. and Della Wiswasser (Miller) in St. Mary's OH.

Gerald joined the United States Air Force in 1952. After his service he then went on to work for Ingersoll Steel as an industrial electrician for many years. He was a gifted woodworker, an avid reader, enjoyed genealogy and bird watching.

Gerald is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Janet Wiswasser; three sons, Dane Wiswasser, David Wiswasser and Brett Wiswasser; three daughters, Beth (David) Miller, Heidi (Jason) Pease and Amy (Kevin) Noble; one sister, Jane Althoff of Lake Oswego OR; five  grandsons, John Wiswasser (Alison), Drew Granger, Adam Miller, Kevin (Morgan) Noble Jr. and Shaun (Fannie) Noble; six granddaughters, Melissa (Adam) Eakes, Jenna Granger, Emma Pease, Carly Pease, Ashlee (John) Hughes and Tabitha Noble; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Jared Granger.

A memorial service will be held at Garden View Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery following service.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Contributions may be made to ARF of Muncie. A special thank you to Dr. William Fisher, The staff of BMH Cancer Center and Westminster Village Rehab Facility.
