Kevin Bayman Obituary
Lawton, OK - Memorial service for Kevin Douglas Bayman, 48 of Lawton will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Bayman passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 in Lawton.
Kevin was born on August 11, 1970 in Muncie, Indiana to Jerry Edwin and Wanda (Green) Bayman. He graduated from Cowan High School in 1988 and then joined the United States Marine Corp on July 19, 1988 and served until January 13, 2001 when he then enlisted in the United States Army on July 11, 2006 and served until September 30, 2012. He served his country in many locations including Okinawa, Japan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. He received many awards and medals including: the Navy/Marine Corp Achievement Medal, two Kuwait Liberation Medals, Good Conduct Medal with three devices, Overseas Ribbon with two devices, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with four devices, Iraq Campaign Medal with two stars, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Reserve Service Medal with M-Device, Master Recruiter Badge, Expert Marksman Badge, and a Driver and Mechanic Badge. After the military, he lived in Geronimo where he was elected Mayor and served as the Mayor until 2018. He then moved to Lawton. Kevin enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his mother Wanda Crandall and her husband, Ken, of Salt Lake City, Utah; his sons, Daniel Bayman and Marc Bayman, both of Lawton; his brother, Karl Bayman and his spouse, Luis Barrera, of Salt Lake City, Utah; his sister, Kathryn Cahoon and spouse, Jared, of Salt Lake City, Utah; his grandchildren; and his nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Bayman; and his sister, Karen Bayman.
