Mary Smith Obituary
Muncie - Mary Jo "Jodi" Smith, 77, passed away Saturday morning, January 19, 2019, at Signature Health Care.
She was born in Lafayette on August 11, 1941 the daughter of J. Clark and Betty (Hopkins) Hunt and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1959.
Mrs. Smith was a motel manager in Cincinnati, OH.
Surviving are her husband of fifty years, Bobby; a daughter, Shelley Kirkman Sechrest (husband, Chuck); a son, Eric David Kirkman (wife, Jodie); eight grandchildren, Adam, Justin, and Eric Parker (wife, Natalie), Sarah and Hannah Kirkman; Tanner Armentrout, MaKenzy Tracy, and Steven Myers; seven Great-grandchildren; a brother, John Hunt (wife, Glenna); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jennifer Jill Myers; a sister, Shirley Darts; and a brother, Keith Ulen.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association of Indiana, 50 E. 91st St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Jodi's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, and that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. May that bring you comfort in this time of sorrow.
