Ralph Vinson Eldridge, 84

Muncie - Ralph Vinson Eldridge, 84 of Muncie, died Sunday evening, April 23, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born November 7, 1932, in Eldridge, KY and was the son of the late John E. & Jaley E. (Gilliam) Eldridge.

Ralph retired from Chevrolet in Muncie after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fixing and repairing things. Ralph honorably served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed and loved being with his family.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Deloris (Ficklin) Eldridge of Muncie; two grandchildren Brittainy Raef (John) of Gaston and Donovan Jay Loser of Muncie; two great-grandchildren Magnolia Belle and Brantley Walker Raef both of Gaston; a brother Daniel Dean Eldridge (Virginia) of Muncie; a sister Lucy Jane Stephens of Kentucky, several nieces, and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters Patricia L. Loser and Julia Marie Eldridge, five sisters Rose Ann Wiggins, Mary Ellen Weaver, Nancy Mae O'Neal-Stultz, Martha Grace Fitzgerald and Daisy Eldridge; two brothers William Jason and Lynn Eldridge.

Funeral services for Ralph will be held Friday, April 28, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 West White River Blvd, with Pastor Jerry O'Neal officiating. Burial with military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Delaware County Honor Guard will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.
