Roy D. York, 56

MUNCIE - Roy D. York, 56, passed away on Saturday evening, December 10, 2016 at his residence.

He was born in Albany, Kentucky, the son of Roy E. and Betty F. (Cook) York and attended Muncie Southside High School.

Roy worked as an auto body technician for thirty years, first at Jones Auto Body and then at McCoy Ford. He loved his dogs and enjoyed listening to music.

Survivors include his mother, Betty F. York of Muncie; one brother, Joel York (wife, Patty) of Muncie; one sister, Gina Wilsford (husband, Mark) of Muncie; two nieces, Megan and Meranda; five nephews, Mark, Jacob, Evan, Daryl and Jerrod; one great-niece, Nora; four great-nephews, Elijah, Jesse, Levi and Alexander; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and life-long friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy E. York on January 27, 1994 and one brother, Gary D. York in May, 1995.

Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary, Washington Street Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.

Funeral services and burial will take place at a later date.
